Ovular six-sided lift top sewing box; braided leather handles, velvet reserve top, florets with faceted steel centers, opening to raspberry silk interior. Lower body having curvilinear bombeshape with applied florets on velvet. Contents of box: steel sewing scissors, steel ribbon "needle" in case, silk ribbon garter, card of hooks and eyes, sterling silver thimble from Columbian Exposition (1892), ivory handled file. |
