A steel and silver-mounted sword, probably 18th century, Continental, with hardstone handle, in tooled leather and metal tipped scabbard, the sword with lightly curved, steel blade, with green spiral-carved green-stained ivory handle, reticulated silver foliate designed ball end, Chain attachment missing at handle and on scabbard. - The decorative motifs look to be military in nature; flags, a drum, a shield, perhaps a liberty cap, etc. |
