Will and probate of Jotham Townsend with Micajah Townsend and Daniel Underhill as executors. Jotham gives to his brother, Micajah, "one quarter part of a Righ and half in the comons in the Old purchis of Oyster Bay." To "An Townsend Daughter of Absolam Townsend ten pound in Vali Item" (?). He gives "My wife An Townsend three hundred pounds in full of her Dowry but if my Son John should dy before he have lawful issue the my will is my wife An should have six hundred Pounds and all the rest of my Estate both real and personal." Bequests also made to his son John, grand daughter Freelove and Micajah's son Jotham. Witnessed by Henry Townsend, Henry Wheeler and Joseph Underhill. Watermarked paper. |
