From Maria Fonda Townsend (1860-1908) at Oyster Bay to her father, thanking him for his letter and also relating other news from Oyster Bay. Oyster Bay July 21st 1871 Dear Father I received your letter last evening and the piece of prose and Mothers letter also Charlies letter enclosing Mr Dourres. Tim is coming up on the boat to tomorrow night six loads of hay were put in the barn to day two from the hill and four from the backlot. I rode on the donkey this afternoon and enjoyed it very much do you intend to cane up to tomorrow after noon. I hope you will love to all your affectionate Daughter Maria F.
